Meetings

GENERAL MEETINGS

General membership meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month at the Florence Douglas Center (333 Amador Street, Vallejo, CA 94590), unless otherwise noted. Doors open at 9am and the meeting begins at 10am.

General membership meeting generally consist of reports from the each board and committee members of club happenings, administrative business, news and discussion about upcoming events and much more.

Towards the end of our meeting, we have a Block of the Month demonstrations, Show & Tell and raffles, before we break for a Potluck Lunch.

In the afternoon, there may be programs,  demonstrations, or workshops to help members improve and expand their quilting techniques. There is also open sewing until 3pm… It’s also a good time to baste your quilts on the large tables.

A list of meetings are listed in the Events page.

THIRD SATURDAYS

Classes/workshops and open sew days are held on the third Saturday of each month at the same location and time mentioned above.

  • If an outside instructor is scheduled, only members who have enrolled for the class are allowed at the center during the class. Once the class has ended, guild members are welcome to use the center for open sewing until 3pm.
  • If a guild member is instructing the class, or there is no class scheduled, the center is open to all guild members for open sewing until 3pm.

A list of classes/workshops schedules are listed in the Events page.
