This is a one day mystery quilt made with four fabrics, measuring 54″ x 72″ without any borders. This pattern does not have curves, Y-seams, appliqué, or paper piecing. It can be made in a one day session so it is not an intricate pattern. The challenge is in taking a leap in sewing without having the visual in advance.

• “Flying in Squares” by happyquiltingmelissa
• This quilt uses a layer cake and some background fabric to create a bed size quilt.
• We will learn (for those who do not know how) the 4 at a time flying geese method.
• 85″ square
• Cutting instructions available in April 2023 meeting.
• Those who sign up and pay for the class by the May meeting will be put in a drawing for a free layer cake.
Class charge: $15 for members; $20 for non-members.
The Florence Douglas Center will also be open for open sew.

Learn different techniques for making paper pieced blocks, learn basics, connecting sections to make blocks, stained glass block, angles without tears.

Class charge $15 + $10 pattern/foundation papers charge ($25 total) for members, $20 + $10 pattern/foundation papers charge ($30 total) for non-members.

After the meeting:
• Bring 4 fat quarters, cutting tools, and a machine for an after-the-meeting demo, and leave with an almost finished table runner.
