PLEASE NOTE: We are continuing our requirements (as previously voted by the VPQG Executive Board) for attendees to our meetings, classes, and events to be vaccinated for Covid-19. Anyone inside the building for our rental periods must have proof they are fully vaccinated, and post-14 days from their last injection.
We will remain masked for meetings unless actively eating or drinking. This is a mask over the nose and mouth, and not a face shield.
If you have not already been to one of our meetings or events (since 9/2021) at the FDC please send a copy of your CDC vaccination record for COVID-19 or have it ready in hand or on your phone before you enter the building.

There will be a mini fabric sale, so come early to get something for your stash.

Don’t forget your Show & Tell items to share. Please find the agenda (in the Downloads page) to print out and bring with you.
Those registered for the Exploding Heart Class, bring your gear so we can get started on part 1 of the class after the meeting and rearranging the room.
We will not be having a guild-wide lunch, but something will be provided to the class participants during the room changeover at noon.
Due to the Bunco Fundraiser being moved to July we are using this Saturday, April 9th (the date we originally reserved the FDC for Bunco) to hold a Baby Quilt Work Party. It is short notice, we know, but we wanted to take advantage of the reservation and help our Wednesday Ladies finish some quilts for our community outreach. We had to cancel our plans for a Baby Quilt Work Party in February due to the FDC closure at the time.
So for this Saturday, we will not be sewing the tops from kits; we have plenty on hand. The focus is completing the quilts. Steps to do this are:
We have a number of quilts that already are sandwiched so they need the latter steps.
We will have 2-3 ironing boards and irons set up.
If you want to do a step involving sewing and you don’t want to bring your machine, that’s okay. We will have 5-6 machines on hand that you can use.
We will have some pins, but you can bring your own if you prefer.
Those who wish to tie should bring a large eye needle, curved needle, or upholstery needle. We will have a few on hand. We have yarn.
There will be coffee/tea and a simple lunch will be provided – a “potato bar” – so we need an approximate headcount for food.
Please respond if you will be joining us on Saturday. Doors open at 9am but if you are coming later, just let us know when you expect to be there.
We hope to see you there!
Given the amount of space needed for the groupings of tables for the various stations, we ask that there is no “open sew” at this event.
